Memorial Hall is proud to display the personal artifacts of Confederate artilleryman, including many items from the famous Washington Artillery, the premier artillery unit of the Civil War.
The legacy of Johnny Reb is epitomized in the Confederate infantryman.Often under-supplied, undernourished and underpaid,the Confederate infantryman marched on with proud determination, fighting against staggering odds with a "rebel yell" that symbolized his confidence of victory and his belief in his Cause.
A collage of uniforms, accoutrements, firearms and personal belongings highlight this exhibit.
Confederate cavalrymen were valuable mounted scouts, scavenging and, occasionally, plundering along their way. They were the "eyes and ears" of the infantry.
